Description

I've always been a sucker for fan art and with the upcomming Advent Children movie I thought I would try a more somber approach to a classic character.

is she under water? if so there needs to be bubbles, or moving of water. her right eyes lash seems too high up since her eyes are close. it looks like she has no hand and her hair needs work. what is that purple thing next to her face, if it is a shirt it's up too far. anyway i like the lighting on the cheek, the sadness you depicted very well.

Final Fantasy VII Aeris was the subject of probably the most famous death in video games...

I agree about the movement of water...that honeycomb looking pattern isn't cutting it. The hair isn't behaving as it should if underwater either. Don't take this too hard..I really like the piece :)

Thanks everyone for the critiques. I never tried to do an underwater scene before and I agree with the comments about the moving water....just need to figure out how to do that..(looks for tutorials ;) I'll try to improve on it but thanks again.

you mean aeris? wow, what medium?

well, i don't think the hair and clothes are a problem. even in a more somber setting, early FF characters have hair that just sticks, so it doesn't matter. i could SO tell that it was aeris ...
